Li Lingna is a PhD researcher in Sociology of Education at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Malaysia). She obtained her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction (English) from Northwest Normal University in China.

Before pursuing doctoral studies, she worked within the Qingyang Municipal Education System in China and accumulated extensive teaching experience across the full spectrum of basic education, including primary school, middle school, and high school English teaching.

Her professional experience spans both rural and urban educational contexts, providing her with rich insights into language education practice.

Her research focuses on sociocognitive mechanisms underlying structural deviations in English learning, examining how linguistic structures reflect different cognitive patterns across cultures.

Her doctoral work aims to develop a framework explaining structural deviations in English learning from a sociocognitive perspective.
